JHH vc is a family investment firm specializing in early-stage ventures from pre-seed through Series A. Our role involves actively engaging in fundraising support, leveraging our extensive network of operators and investors to ensure the growth and success of our portfolio companies.
Our Thesis
We backs early-stage founders building defensible, data-driven companies. We look for startups that unlock new visibility by aggregating underutilized public data or generating novel data at the edge and convert that insight into clear commercial value. We are especially active across dual-use markets where government and private-sector demand reinforce each other.

Matt Gittleman
Matt Gittleman serves as the Investment Director at JHH vc, where he leads early-stage investing for the firm’s family office. He is also a co-founder and board member of VC in DC, the region’s largest venture-capital community with 700+ members, where he helps connect investors, founders, and ecosystem partners across the DMV through high-impact events and programming.
Before JHH vc, Matt spent four years at Blu Venture Investors, overseeing the firm’s cybersecurity investment pipeline and supporting portfolio companies as an advisor and board observer, primarily around fundraising and go-to-market strategy. Earlier in his career, Matt worked with Core Capital Partners while earning his MBA at the Georgetown McDonough School of Business, and held marketing and operations roles at LivingSocial, Catalant Technologies, and Yesware.
